Purchasing Agent (Fairfield, NJ)
Research, identify and evaluate rug suppliers located in the U.S. and abroad based on price, quality, selection, reliability, production and distribution capabilities as well as their reputation. Analyze price proposals and financial reports to determine reasonable prices. Negotiate contracts and delivery terms with suppliers. Monitor shipments and compliance to quality standards such as quality, delivery, and cost. Write and review product specifications, maintain and review records of equipment and materials purchased, their costs and product performance. Prepare purchase orders and agreements for correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications. Confer with staff and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
Bachelor Degree in Management, Business Administration, or Supply Management required. 2 year exp. in the job or as an Operations Manager is required. 40+ hrs/wk. Send Resume with cover letter to hi@wellwoven.com
